"We had dinner at the hotel and it was truly excellent. We showed up on our bikes looking for some food while a birthday party was going on. Rather than turn us away, the owner welcomed us in had a nice chat with us and served us some delicious food. I can’t say enough about the hospitality and kindness showed by the owner. Next time we bike through, we will also be staying in the hotel!"

"Its the first book hotel in Germany and the concept is very easy: you bring in 2 old books of yours and can take 1 book from there. I have spent hours and hours there with my mom. The coffee and cake there is really nice and the whole place is incredibly cozy. Can only recommend going there- only if you speak German though as all of their books are in German"

"We stayed here as part of a bike tour. Hands down our favorite hotel on the trip! The garden is charming, with many small sculptures and places to sit and relax. Clearly a lot of thought and love went into this establishment. We enjoyed just walking around both inside and out and seeing all the books, owls, plaques and other collectibles. The food was also excellent, and the hotel manager was very friendly and fun to talk to. Highly recommend!"
